Introduction - Pet Pleasant Places

Welcome to my blog, "Pet Pleasant Places"! My name is Hillary Eib and I'm currently attending Washburn University located in Topeka, Kansas. Throughout this semester I am going to be researching for places that allow animals, specifically dogs. This means I will be informing my audience where they can bring their animals out in public.

I chose this topic because I love being able to bring dogs with me. I believe it makes life more convenient. Animals, and especially dogs are my biggest passion. One day I hope to own my own doggy daycare. Each blog post will be about a different location that is animal friendly. There are many people who travel with their animals and this blog will help them locate different animal friendly places.

Food Truck Rally Goes to the Dogs, Idaho

Welcome back, today's blog is about a dog friendly event. This event is called "Food Truck Rally Goes to the Dogs". Celebrate St. Patrick's day outside with your dog! It takes place at Lloyd Square in Nampa, Idaho on March 17 from 2pm through 6pm. The admission is free. People can join the Nampa Dog Park Committee for food, beer and live music. All the proceeds go to Nampa's dog parks. Nampa's dog park is a six acre off-leash dog park. Dogs are welcome to join.

Kenmore Air, Seattle

Kenmore Air is a airline that offers pet friendly flights. This is a great way to see Seattle, Washington.   The flight starts with a exciting water takeoff, a sky tour of Seattle, and a landing at Lake Union in one of Kenmore's seaplanes. On this flight, you'll see Lake Union's famous houseboat communities, the University of Washington's campus, lakeside and seaside estates, Seattle's professional sports stadium, and the dramatic downtown skyline of Elliott Bay. There's no fee for dogs that weight under 25 lbs, although dogs over that weight limit have to have a purchased seat.  The flight is 20 minutes long and don't worry, everyone gets a window seat.
